Vacancy: Translator and/or Interpreter for US Agency‏

Requirements:
- Have knowledge of law enforcement and military terminology in both
source and target languages.
- Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution
in English Literature, Communications, International Relations,
Military Study, Law enforcement, Criminal Justice, Business,
Education, Social Science or Tourism, or at least five (5) years of
relevant experience.

Additional for Translator:
- With the written word, transferring text from a source language to a
target language, including document employing technical language
commonly used in law enforcement and the military
- Rate of not less 500 words per hour or 2.2 million words to or from
English during the contract's 12 month performance period
- Any required corrections to translated documents shall be completed
no later than ten (10) calendar days after the contractor is provided
or notified of the correction(s)

. The government shall not be
financially liable for any of the contractor's costs associated with
rework greater than 10% of a translated original document.
- Documents shall be translated at rate of not less 500 words per
hour. Contractor will be required to translate approximately 2.2
million words to or from English during the contract's 12 month
performance period.

Additional for Interpreter:
- Interpret from Indonesian Bahasa to English and from English to
Indonesian Bahasa
- Interact on a regular basis with US military, law enforcement, DoD
civilian personnel as well as partner nation personnel to include, but
not limited to, military personnel up to the rank of or equivalent to
General of the partner nation's military
- The average real time response should be no more than three (3)
minutes after the speech. The resulting speech shall be grammatically
correct and fluent in the language to which it is interpreted.
Consecutive level interpretation is required.

Travel:
- In-country travel may be required as part of contract performance.
The Contractor shall be reimbursed for travel costs IAW the guidelines.
- Indonesia - Medan, Denpasar, Batam, Manado, Sorong
- 3 Days 4 trips per year Indonesia.
- 4 Days 10 trips per year.
